Zulu maidens mourns the passing of King Goodwill Zwelithini

As the country mourns the passing of King Goodwill Zwelithini, Imbokodo – who have for years trekked to the King’s palace during the reed dance are shattered.

Zulu maidens have described the king as a loving father to the nation.

They say his legacy of protecting the most vulnerable in society will forever live in their hearts.

The monarch was interred in a private ceremony, carried out by Amabutho, in the early hours Thursday morning.

Official memorial service will be held for iSilo Samabandla later in the day.
