RIP: Two teachers in Gauteng passed away after this happened

Families together with colleagues are left with pains filled with a lot of questions after having lost two of their loved ones being school teachers.

Two teachers from Lekgalong Primary school in Zone 1 situated in Garankuwa, Gauteng province passed away after being shot by one of the teacher’s partners. The incident allegedly claimed the lives of both the teachers took place nearby the school whereby the teachers were residing.

Speaking on the incident, a teacher from the mentioned school said “We have lost two young teachers by the names of Ma’am Mkhize and Ma’am Kgatitsoe. It is very difficult as you can imagine. This thing took us by shock even though we are still in recess. It is a huge loss not only to the school but to the community as well. Mkhize was from KZN and Kgatitsoe from Winterveld”.

Gauteng Education MEC being Panyaza Lesufi also spoke out regarding the incident in a statement released and said, “We are devasted at this gruesome act of criminality that has taken the lives of two of our youngest and brightest educators. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and all affected members of the Lekgalong Primary School community”.

What happened to these teachers is so sad. They were supposed to be those that shape learners to become better people in the future and there are many learners that still needed their guidance, life is indeed not fair.

So many women are being murdered by their partners these days and whatever the reasons may be, men need to learn that killing someone does not solve one’s problems that they have with that person and they are only creating more problems for themselves by doing so. May the souls of these teachers rest in peace.
