Ex-Downs & Bucs star remembers his late mum

As we steadily approach the second half of the DStv Premiership campaign many top PSL stars will be hoping to return to competitive football in the best forms of their lives.

However, these professionals are faced with real-life problems just like you and I. In some cases, they struggle with bereavements.

In the current ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which is held in Cameroon Warriors winger, Kudakwashe Mahachi gave an outstanding performance in their last Group B encounter against Guinea as they bowed in style. As of late the former Orlando Pirates winger who plies his trade in South Africa at Supersport United is currently back in his native country spending some time with his loved ones in Zimbabwe.

During his trip to Zimbabwe, the Warriors winger had the privilege of visiting his late mother Sbonile Moyo at the graveside who sadly passed away in December 2018 at Bulawayo’s Lobengula suburb after a long illness. Following his decision to do so the Warriors winger on Sunday then took to Instagram to share an emotional post where he was pictured sitting on top of his mother’s tombstone.

The 28-year-old Bulawayo-born footballer would then go to caption the shared picture with, “I know she was happy when I visited her”. As of late his fans and followers have since taken to the popular platforms to send their messages of condolences while some were of the view that Kudakwashe Mahachi took a wise decision of visiting his late mother.

By browsing through his Instagram account we have since had the opportunity to learn that in July 2021 the Warriors talisman also took some time to visit his mother at the graveside. In as many years since making his debut in the PSL, Kudakwashe Mahachi has had the privilege of playing for Mamelodi Sundowns, now defunct Mpumalanga Black Aces (loan), Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates, and as well as Supersport United.
